ACTING SENIOR LECTURER HOSPITALITY AND CATERING SERVICES REPORT 191 (PL2) X1

VACANCY ADVERTISMENT: INTERNAL

Thekwini TVET College invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following Acting Senior Lecturer posts for the 2026 academic year.

CONTRACT PERIOD: 6 Months  

CAMPUS: CENTEC

SALARY NOTCH: R452 649.00 PA, plus 37% cash in lieu of benefits.

 

Requirements : ·Matric certificate or equivalent ·A recognized, relevant qualification in          in Hospitality  (REQV13) ·Advanced Diploma in Technical Vocational Training or equivalent    teaching qualification ·Valid SACE registration (not provisional registration) ·Minimum of three (3) years lecturing experience at a TVET College · Computer literacy (MS Office) · Coltech  ·Ability to plan ahead and apply good management · HR skills in dealing with people and problem solving  · Organisational skills to ensure teaching and learning is happening  · To be able to make decisions on operational matters and implement them.  

Key Result Areas: Supervise lecturers and manage their performance in terms of IQMS ·Assist the Head of Division with day-to-day management duties ·Staff allocation, time tabling and overseas assessments and moderation ·Attending to student matters e.g. process, absenteeism and administrative requests ·Assist with planning of exam invigilation timetables
