ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LECTURER (RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES) (PL1) X1

Thekwini TVET College invites suitably qualified and experienced Lecturers to apply for the following full-time contract posts available for 2025 academic year based in Durban. 

CONTRACT

CAMPUS: MELBOURNE

REF NO: MEL 04/11/2024

SALARY NOTCH: R256 395.00 PA, plus 37% cash in lieu of benefits.

 

Requirements: Matric certificate or equivalent ·Relevant REQV 13 qualification in Electrical Engineering field ·Relevant Trade Certificate plus minimum 1 year relevant experience or minimum NQF Level 5 Qualification in Renewable energy with minimum 1 year relevant experience or minimum 3 years relevant work experience · Advanced Teaching Diploma in TVT / Post Graduate Diploma TVET / Diploma in Secondary or Higher Education ·Competency to teach Mathematics in NCV L2-L4 and/or R191 N4 ·Valid SACE registration (not provisional)  ·Computer literacy (Ms Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and Internet) ·Sound subject knowledge and work-related applications ·Good Communication skills (Written & Verbal) · Report writing skills · Good planning and organising skills.

Key Result Areas: ·Teach both theory and practical’s of Renewable Energy Technologies    ·The successful candidate responsibilities include but not limited to lecturing National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and Nated subjects, including tasks to be done practically·Prepare and submit for accreditation of relevant Occupational programmes · Prepare quality assessment and continuous analysis of student’s performance ·Perform all post related duties as prescribed by applicable polices, legislation, procedure manual, guidelines and instructions. Liaise with Senior Lecturers, Head of Division and Student Support Services officials in providing support interventions to students ·Invigilation duties.
